First Dubai Muscle Show will see legendary duo Coleman and Cutler among a host of big names
Dubai: Bodybuilding enthusiasts are in for a treat next month as some of the world’s greatest names in the sport including superstars Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman, Lazar Angelov, Ulisses Jr., Andreia Brazier and Sergi Constance come calling.
The celebrity musclemen will descend on the Dubai International Marine Club on October 21 and 22 for the inaugural Dubai Muscle Show, Dubai’s only international bodybuilding and fitness event. What makes it a landmark event, say fans, is the coming together of the legendary Coleman and Cutler - both of whom have 12 Mr Olympia titles between them.
“They are just two absolute legends of the sport and to see them in flesh and blood here in Dubai will be the most amazing feeling for any fan of bodybuilding,” said Loy Machedo, a former bodybuilder and powerlifter from Dubai. “They are the ones whose pictures adorn walls of gyms around the world and the ones whose every regime and advice bodybuilders the world over try to follow. To be able to meet them and shake their hands would be something,” said Imran, another Dubai-based bodybuilding enthusiast.
“This is an event that Dubai had been missing for a long time in its annual events calendar. It’s a model that has worked the world over and this is a chance for fitness enthusiasts to meet their heroes, whilst watching some of the Middle East’s and the world’s best amateur athletes in Martial Arts, Bodybuilding, Strong Man, Calisthenics and Cross Fit, the fastest growing sports of this generation,” said Craig Hartley, marketing director, Dubai Muscle Show.
No doubt much of the crowd will come to see the event’s celebrity guests including Bulgarian Lazar Angelov, who is headed to Dubai for the first time. “I’ve never been to Dubai. I can’t wait to meet my fans there,” said the global fitness superstar who boasts a social media following of over 17 million. Other athletes lined up include four-time Musclemania Champion Ulisses Jr., fitness icons Sergi Constance, Jaco De Bruyn and Zsuzsanna Toldi, in addition to Jason Poston, a front runner for the upcoming Mr Olympia Physique Category, and Andreia Brazier, an icon in women’s bodybuilding having won four World Beauty Fitness and Fashion titles.

ballet dancer beauty tips Ballet Beauty Tips: 18 Things We Learned From the Ultimate Hair and Makeup Pros
If you’ve ever dreamed of floating across stage in pointe shoes and a beautiful fluff of tulle, you’re not alone. While we might be green—or soft pink—with envy over their careers (not the painfully blistered toes, though), what really makes our jaws drop is the fact that ballerinas are also pros at hair and makeup. As many ballet lovers might be surprised to learn, there is no beauty team backstage—the dancers are responsible for their own onstage looks. Before curtain call, they hustle backstage to paint on their characters’ faces and slick back their hair into perfect chignons.
